Switzerland’s voters have finally rejected  proposal to scratch net immigration to no more than 0.2% of the population.
The country's 26 constituencies disallowed the proposal, with about 74% of people voting no in Sunday's referendum.
Followers of the measure claimed that it would have compact pressure on the country's properties. Challengers said it would have been ruthless for the economy.
Out of Switzerland's eight million people one quarter of the population are foreigners.
Due to this measure the government will reduce immigrations from 80,000 to 16,000.
In Switzerland's system of direct democracy, citizens can strength a survey if they gathering enough signatures of backing.
The state nominated in February to re-introduce immigration rations, in result choosing out of an EU free drive contract.
The government still has to appliance that survey result, which tossed relations with the EU into confusion.
Other two surveys were also being alleged on Sunday: one on imposing the central bank to lift its gold assets and one on arguing a tax perk for rich foreigners.
They, too, failed to gather enough support for the actions to pass into law.
