He is one of the most feared strikers
in world football, so it made it all the more unbelievable that
Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski conspired to miss this chance
from all of two yards out.
The Polish striker, who joined
Bayern in the summer, collected the ball after something of an inadvertant
one-two, and looked nailed on to add a second goal for the Bundesliga leaders,
but instead of hooking the ball into the net, he managed to fluff his lines.
It ultimately didn't matter, as
Bayern narrowly beat Leverkusen 1-0 to maintain their seven-point lead over
second-placed Wolfsburg.
