INDORE: Despite atrocities of husband who paraded his wife nude in village and served her to relatives for sexual abuse, the victim woman sold a pair of bulls to get her husband out of jail on bail.

The 30-year-old woman took the step for sake of her four children future who kept inquiring about their father now and then in last four months when he was in jail. The woman applied for bail in high court citing family reason on the basis of which the court granted bail to her husband.

The incident dates back to June 2014 when tribal woman of Bhilaikheda village of Khandwa district was allegedly gang-raped by 10 persons, including her husband, paraded naked and forced to drink urine in front of her minor son following a land dispute. The woman had lodged a complaint with Khandwa's Piplod police station, in which she alleged that the attack was carried out at the behest of her husband, all the accused were nabbed.

Following the incident, West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress Party had sent a five-member delegation led by Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Shekhar Ray to meet the survivor.
